Arrival!

The team has arrived safely in the Philippines. Their total flight time was 20 hours and (after they landed safely) hit the ground running. They enjoyed a warm reception and a wonderful lunch with Darrell and his wife Shannon. They decided to start this afternoon and Darrel, along with his "right hand" man and project supervisor Delphin, took them on a tour of the new "facility" which is basically a huge poke barn. They discussed the factory set up and kiln placement and design. On the way home, they stopped at three different stores selling potential mixers which could be adapted for their needs. Tomorrow, they plan to make a start on the kiln and mix some clay. They are on a schedule to try out the filter press Saturday before deciding on any final design details and getting it delivered to the factory.
